The problem is not being able to install NetWare 6.0 on a Dell PowerEdge 400SC with and without a CERC SATA controller.

First, I found a TID article that talked about a limitation of the IDE driver in NW 6.0 (it only supported 2 channels). So I grabbed the IDEATA.HAM, IDECD.CDM and IDEHD.CDM from NetWare 6.5 SP1 (although the TID referred to NW 6.0 SP3) and loaded these and then my straight IDE config worked fine.

Next, I tried it again with the CERC. I had to use the same drivers, but also add the SCSIHD.CDM manually and then it worked. Since the CERC emulates a SCSI interface, it requires SCSIHD.CDM, but NW seems to detect that the IDECD.CDM is needed instead. NetWare 6.5 worked fine with no monkey business required.
