With the introduction of the Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 Application Partner Portal in March, Novell partners ACCPAC, Beginfinite, OpenOffice.org, and Tobit introduced some incredible offers to NSBS 6.5 customers, including product software licenses and exclusive discounts. Novell is pleased to announce that three additional Novell partners have recently introduced exclusive offers. GroupLink now offers its GroupWise-supported ContactWise CRM product at a 10% discount, Omni is offering its GEE Whiz anti-SPAM and content filtering solution at substantial savings, and VirusBuster is offering its Network Security Bundle for Novell Small Business Suite at over 20% off.
To access the portal you will need a valid Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 or Expansion Pack product serial number to advance through the portal and take advantage of the third-party partner offerings.
|more about the Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 Application Partner Portal|
You may have noted the lack of traditionally bundled third-party software included in the build of Novell Small Business Suite 6.5. This was by no means an oversight on Novell's part. Novell and its application partners still make third-party products available to Novell Small Business Suite customers, only now they do so through a unique Web portal exclusively for Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 customers and resellers that service these customers.
Introduced in March of this year, the Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 Application Partner Portal limits entry to the portal through a valid Novell Login account name and password, and then a Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 serial number. Once you enter your serial number, you're free to see the exclusive offers from Novell application partners such as ACCPAC, Beginfinite, NovaSTOR, and Tobit.
"Most of the application partners offer free trial download software, but also offer exclusive product discounts or rebates to Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 customers," remarks Troy Wilde, Product Manager for Novell Small Business Suite. "The exclusive 10-15% discounts from these partners can really provide some cost savings to small businesses," Wilde added.
The Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 Application Partner Portal is accessible directly from the product page at www.novell.com/products/smallbiz through the new left-hand menu option: "Application Partner Portal." Novell iChain, which powers the technology behind the portal, requires a Novell Login user ID and password. If you do not have a Novell Login account, you can quickly create one on that page. Once the Novell Login credentials have been entered, a new Web page summarizes the Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 Application Partner Portal program and requests a Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 serial number for entry.
Once entered, you can click on any of the icons to view the offers.
To view more details of the offer, click one of the hyperlinked options to go to a specific landing page manged by the participating application partner. Depending on the offer, the landing page will provide you details on how to purchase product for a discount, obtain a product rebate, or download software.
"We've been pleased with the traffic through the portal since its introduction," remarks Troy Wilde. "Through the portal, customers and resellers throughout the world are being introduced to companies that don't traditionally do a lot of business in their countries, and were happy to be the means of that introduction."
Additional partners and offers will be coming on board soon, so even if you've been to the portal already, be sure to check back for new offers from new partners, or updated offers from current partners.
