Acceptable Use Policies (AUP) are an important way to govern the way users use the Internet in your organization. A good AUP allows you:
- To communicate your policy
- To protect against potential liability
- To avoid security threats
- To educate users about best practices
We've just added some excellent examples of sound and effective AUPs to the Manager's Resource Library. Take a few minutes to explore the offerings under Security Policies and Principles, and you might pick up a few ideas to strengthen your existing AUP, or to help you craft a new one.
