I wonder why GroupWise 5 doesn't use the de facto quoting/replying of messages like most Internet mailers like Eudora, Netscape, Mozilla, and Agent do. These mailers put a > sign at the beginning of each line of the message you're replying to. Will this be a enhancement feature or will there be a C3PO available in the near future?
I wrote a PerfectScript reply macro for GroupWise 4, but haven't been able yet to start developing C3POs for GroupWise 5.

Hi, Roel. Sometimes it pays to proceed with the audacity of cats, who always seem to figure it doesnt hurt to ask. Paid off for you (and us) this time, anyway. It turns out that one of our experts had just such a C3PO up his sleeve. As near as we can tell, he cranks these out for relaxation, the way some people doodle on the phone book. Anyway, here it is. You just have to install it, reboot, and, as if by magic, when you are writing a reply, you can elect to have those little > marks at the start of each line of the other guys message. Come back on Wednesday, then knock yourself out. And by the way, if youre itching to write a few of these Custom 3rd Party Objects yourself, get your hands on the Object API and jump right in. What you need to do is go to the Novell DeveloperNet home page and subscribe. After you subscribe to DeveloperNet, you can then download the GroupWise 5 SDK, which contains the documentation to tell you how to use the Object API. It sounds complicated, but its not. And best of all, its free. Okay, follow along. When you get to the DeveloperNet home page, click Subscribe Now and fill in the required information. Then, click the red banner-type button that says To SDK Now. Ok, click here to go to the DeveloperNet page. If you can sling Visual Basic, youve got what it takes. In fact, when youve made an especially cool one and feel it deserves a wider audience than yourself, send it in and well put it on the Downloadables page. With, of course, your name on it.
