When I receive a email with a word.doc attached to it I can open it, change it, save it to disk. But when I forward the same email the changes I made are not in that word.doc. When I saved the word.doc it got renamed. What did I do wrong?
A:
It's the local copy you're editing, not the "master copy" in the post office. So if you want to forward an edited copy, you'll need to save your new version of the attachment wherever it makes sense to you, then attach your modified version to the message you send on.
