How can I set my system clock to the correct time?

A:
At a command prompt, as 'su', use the 'ntpdate' command:

ntpdate time.nist.gov

  • How can I set the date/time MYSELF rather than relying on net access? Is there an equivalent to "date" and "time" in DOS?
