Using the homeMDB attribute

Q:
What is the "homeMDB" attribute? I used the preconfigured driver for AD, but I still don't know where to find this attribute ...

A:
homeMBD is the private message database where the user will be assigned an e-mail account. You can get a list of the MDB's in your system using the Exchange Management tool included in the IDM driver distribution. It's an LDAP Distinguished Name for an object in Active Directory.

The ActiveDirectory.xml import file comes with a skeleton snapshot of the Active Directory schema. You can get the full schema for your installation by editing the schema mapping rule on either the publisher or subscriber channel in iManager. Once in the policy window, you will see a button called 'Refresh Application Schema". If homeMDB is not in the AD schema, it means that you haven't run forestPrep or domainPrep and have not installed Exchange 2000.
