Q:
Here's an iPrint problem for you. We can install iPrint printers via the URL, but the user's iPrint policy isn't delivering the iPrinter. Any ideas for us?
A:
To enable user printers, make the following changes to the iprint.ini file. On NetWare versions prior to NetWare 6.5, this file is located in the SYS:\LOGIN\IPPDOCS directory. On NetWare 6.5, iprint.ini is found in the SYS:\apache2\htdocs\ippdocs folder. Within the [Configuration] section of the IPRINT.INI file, there will be an "AllowUserPrinters" section. The default setting is 0, which means that only workstation printers will be installed. In that case, the user will need to have sufficient rights to the workstation to add printers (such as be a member of the Administrator's group). If the setting is changed to a 1, the iPrint client will try to add the printer as a workstation printer. For more info, see TID 10094152
