Q:
I'm considering using Windows XP's local filesystem encryption on my laptop to safeguard my data on the laptop should it ever get stolen. I worry, however, how iFolder will handle this.
Will iFolder then synchronize the encrypted data to the iFolder server (thus also synchronizing encrypted/unreadable data to my home PC), or does it sit on top of the file system encryption and see the local data as unencrypted (because I'm authenticated to the desktop)?
Anyone do this? Success/failure?
A:
One expert reports that it works just great that way. He is using EFS on his production laptop and his other machines, and finds that iFolder syncs just fine.
