The TRASH icon on my KDE desktop has somehow disappeared. How can I get it back?
A:
Log out of the session. Log into the root account. Simply copy the trash can icon from the root account Desktop to the Desktop folder of your own user account. If my username were 'smorris', I would copy the icon to /home/smorris/Desktop. Log out of the root account. Log back into your own account. The TRASH icon should now appear on the desktop again.
