Q:
During installation there is an option for NMAS? What's the benefit to installing NMAS as it relates to SecureLogin? We've had prior issues with NMAS as it relates to the Novell Client so I'd rather not add more software to the mix if I can avoid it.

A:
NMAS gives you the ability to re-verify that the user is who they say they are using the AAVerify command. Other than that the main benefit is support for other authentication methods (biometric, smart card, cert, proximity card) rather than the standard ID and Password.

NMAS is an additional authentication layer and SecureLogin can support this for added security on sensitive applications. It is entirely optional. An extra layer always add extra potential for error, so in that context you are more likely to have more issues if you use NMAS. You must decide if the benefits outweigh the potential risk of issues and extra support to resolve them.
