How does SecureLogin relate to Identity Manager?
A:
They are two different products doing two related but different things.
SecureLogin uses the directory (eDirectory, just about any version running on any platform) to store ID and Password pairs as part of the user object. It inserts these into applications and systems as they are loaded on a workstation. This saves the user from having to remember their ID's and Passwords for many different systems.
Identity Manager is a method of synchronizing identities between systems (MAD, PeopleSoft, SAP, eDirectory etc.) so that as you are prompted for authentication you use the same ID and Password to access the system.
