My iFolder 2.0 works fine internally. But when I connect from the internet, iFolder incorrectly tries to communicate on the internal address. Where do I set the address used by the web pages of iFolder?



A:
Using the admin console, go to the iFolder server properties. For your configuration, there are two addresses you need to worry about. There are fields for public and private address. Obviously, you'll need to enter the private IP address in the private field. In the public field enter the DNS name.

Whatever interface you attach from, all communications will be redirected to this interface. You'll have to make sure public users resolve to the public (NAT) address and private users resolve to the private address.
