Q:
I have read on the Astaro website that IP phones and other devices can take
a license. If the phones are in a different subnet, will Security Manager still count them against the license count? Does the license count apply to IP-only devices that have the Security Manager set as the default gateway?
A:
If the communication fo the IP phone or any network device with an IP address takes place through the Security Manager gateway, then it takes a license because it is being serviced by and protected by Security Manager.
