Q:
I have a problem with the JDBC driver regarding the DATE versus TIMESTAMP issue. I have set the java parameter -Doracle.jdbc.V8Compability="true" in java.cfg, and according to Remote Manager it is in effect. The driver still reports the same issue though. What do I need to do to get the driver running? Changing stuf in our Oracle environment seems to be really hard.

I had a similar issue with this and the easiest thing you could do (that doesn't require your DBAs to modify the field type to "TIMESTAMP" of your event table) is to use the older Oracle 8.x JDBC driver. Because the IDM JDBC driver uses this older driver, it doesn't have the requirement of using the timestamp field type. In my testing, the 8.x driver is fully compatible with the 9.x databases/tables, and no issues were encountered.
