Q:
How many LDAP servers are supported with iFolder 2.0?
A:
In iFolder 2.0 there are two types of LDAP servers, one is designated as a global settings LDAP directory and then USER LDAP directories.
The Global Settings LDAP directory stores information about the iFolder system configuration and has iFolder Settings, iFolder Server, and LDAP Server objects.
The User LDAP directory is used for authentication and adds the iFolder Server Name and the Disk Quota attributes to the User objects that are authorized in the iFolderManagement console to use iFolder.
Regardless of how many iFolder servers are defined there can only be one Global Settings LDAP directory and 8 User LDAP directories. If there are multiple USER LDAP directories they will be searched alphabetically.
