Cryptic answers with read this link after read the following link that never answers a question and keeps one looking until they would have had a more productive moment with Windows any version.

Modern research has discovered that reading makes the brain extrapolate other information, add information to their mindset, and come up with solutions which allows reading humans to be more successful in solving future problems than non readers, in any endeavour, whether it is directly related to the subject being read or not. Obviously, arriving at a Windows solution may be a more successful outcome, at least in the short term. A Linux solution is always one of choice.
To any given problem, there are usually at least six solutions we can think about. Any more is too much for our cognitive abilities. In the Windows world, there is usually only one or two solutions, which is why it is has been such a great success for many people, especially males who generally are not noted for their ability to choose between more than two options. Making informed decisions is more their forte.
But the present complexity of the world demands more than two solutions, and that is one of the main reasons why Linux is becoming popular. All those people out there, who need to find and use the other four solutions to solve the complexity of problems they are faced with, need a platform that offers more choice. So being able to read other's opinions, answers to problems and the like, through linked pages, is of great help to these people as they struggle to come up with informed decisions that will stand the test of time, and hopefully reduce their bottom line and increase their long term productivity. If you don't need any of this, staying with Windows in the short term would seem to be a better choice.
Your other option is to buy a supported Linux distribution like Novell Linux Desktop or if you are a home user, perhaps Linspire with their Click 'n Run software Warehouse as a choice for the Windows centric user.
Kind regards, Stomfi
