Option 1. Upgrade to SUSE 9.3
Option 2. Maybe this will work: create a desktop "Link to Location" named "myComputer" to the link "drives:/". This is done by right clicking on the desktop, choosing "Create New - File - Link to Location"
Option 3. Ask SUSE support how to achieve Option 2 on SUSE 8.2
