The current version of xvidcap includes the ffmpeg library so it can do both video and audio screen capture. I had a bit of trouble trying to compile it with the MPEG library on SUSE 9.2, maybe you will have better luck. I compiled it without MPEG and using the gvidcap executable. It recorded okay as PNG files, which I played back with animate. Not anywhere as sophisticated as Windows offerings, so maybe as coLinux window in XP might do a better job. Stomfi
