Re-directing traffic to a static address

Novell Cool Solutions: Question & Answer

Posted: 28 Sep 2005

Q:
I would like to re-direct incoming traffic for Microsoft's Remote desktop to a particular PC (has a static IP address). How should the NBM rule be set up?

A:
You would need to set up a generic TCP proxy (port 3389), add a filter exception (or two) to allow port 3389 to get to the public IP address, and add an access rule to allow the traffic once it gets to the proxy.
