Q:
I have a network with four servers. Three of them are in one location, and the other one is by itself at another location (WAN). Can anyone give me a tip on how to set up SLP? I have set up the SLP Scope at the top of the organization. Will this be all, or do I have to set up a DA on the remote location as well?
A:
1. Decide on a scope name.
2. Pick one server to be your DA (1 of the 3, not the remote one).
3. Create the slp.cfg files.
4. Create the objects in the tree.
5. Load up slpda.
6. Reboot the servers to recognize the scope.
