Q:
We added a new server to a tree, but somehow it failed to enable the secure
socket service on 636. The ldaps: URL is simply missing from the agent's
configuration. How do I add it to an installed server?
A:
Best bets: Make sure the LDAP Server object has a valid SSL certificate
specified under the SSL/TLS Configuration tab. Make sure TCP port 636 is
specified and NOT disabled (default). Make sure you are able to create new
certificates ('test' is a valid name) with iManager or ConsoleOne to ensure your CA and Certificate Server are working and talking properly. Restart the ldap server process (depending on your platform) and see what that does. Hopefully 636 will start listening.
