I'm connecting to our NBM 3.7 with the latest VPN client and Novell's 4.91 client. The tunnel connection works, but login fails. If I execute a "NET USE" mapping while the login is being attempted, as soon as the mapping is successful, the login completes.
A:
1. Connect with VPN, and then launch Client32.
2. Ping the internal servers by name before trying to log in.
3. If you cannot ping by name, put the server names in the remote PC's
HOSTS (and LMHOSTS, for windows servers) file.
Once you can ping by name, login generally works well. You'll probably
want to add the NDS tree name to one of the hosts file entries, so you
can ping both the server and the NDS tree by name.
