I've started using Designer and have imported my project from the vault. Can I change the policies and run these inside Designer? Can I put data through the rules and see the results?

A:
When you right-click on your policies, you should see a "Simulate" context. When you choose this, you'll be taken to a simulator that lets you populate an XML document (conforming to Novell's IDM DTD). Then it will show you the results (or wait on a query response depending on the rule). They actually provide you with some basic documents as well, or you could pull them from a trace, or just build them from scratch.
