Synchronization failure after ADS re-installation

Q:
My IDM setup between eDirectory and ADS was working fine - all synchronization happening correctly. But when I uninstall and again reinstall ADS , all the objects synching between eDirectory and ADS do not synch after reinstallation. The error I am getting is "Server error: Error in attribute conversion operation, data 0."

I thimk the association between the objects was lost. Is there any method for manually associating the existing objects in eDirectory with ADS?

A:
Check to see if DirXML-ADAliasName is still present and set in all your eDirectory objects.

If it is present, stop and disable the AD IDM Driver, export the AD IDM driver configuration, delete the AD IDM driver configuration and then recreate the AD IDM Driver configuration using the exported config. The net result of this will be that all the associations (which have the wrong GUIDs because you have rebuilt AD) will be deleted.

Write a new temporary matching rule that will first attempt to match on DirXML-ADALiasName with SAMAccountName, then enable and start you driver. Once all is synced, remove your temp matching rule.
