For some reason, my server refuses to listen on LDAP ports 389 and 636. Reboot does not help, nor does removal/reinstall of the LDAP services from the NetWare 6.5 product CD.

Please check < href="http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?10098108.htm">TID 10098108. Basically, you need to change the "ldapConfigVersion" value from 0 to 8 and then unload/reload NLDAP.NLM.
