Earlier this week, I had to merge a partition (containing over 3,200 objects) with its parent and then separate it back out into its own partition. Since that time, we are seeing a constant level of unusually high traffic in between the servers holding the replicas. This was not an issue prior to the partition changes. The partition in question has a replica on 3 servers, one at a remote site and the other 2 at our central office.

On all servers holding the problem partition(s), load dsrepair -ANT, and run a local repair that locks the database at the same time - that is, all three servers must have their DS databases locked at the same time, to stop all syncing while the repairs occur. Once the repairs all finish, commit the changes and unlock the databases. For details on -ANT, see this TID:
