Installing NLS with an OpenLDAP server

Q:
Has anyone ever tried to install NLS using an OpenLDAP server as the ldap server for the install? Is this possible?
A:
A few notes real quick. First, eDirectory is an LDAP server but also has extensions to handle Novell client logins. Further, I believe you can get a free 250,000 client license for eDirectory. It is then VERY easy to create users, do administration, etc. using ConsoleOne - the administration tool for eDirectory. The only trick would be the schema isn't quite normal for Unix clients or Samba clients, and typically has to be extended.
NNLS - Novell Nterprise Linux Services is essentially Novell Services running on a Linux kernel. It's the traditional Novell authentication, management, print services, etc. but using Linux instead of NetWare for the operating system. As such, you can do all the fun Linux stuff like install SSH and remote login to the system.
