Configuring GroupWise WebAccess on Linux

Q:
I want to configure the Linux version of GW WebAccess to use the Jakarta*Tomcat which is installed by Novell Nterprise Linux Services (NNLS).
NNLS installs its own Tomcat and Apache, so running both the GW WebAccess Tomcat and Apache servers is not possible without some reconfiguration.
I tried to edit all of the web.xml files which belongs to the NNLSs Tomcat server <servlet ..... webacc ..servlet> configuration parameters but http://nnls*server/servlet/webacc still doesn't work. Any advice?
A:
You can run GW WebAccess off of the NLS versions of Apache/Tomcat. GW shipped with the Apache/Tomcat versions destined for the next release of NLS, and we did verify that GW will work in this environment.
When you install/configure WebAccess, after installing and configuring the WebAccess Agent, simply choose the selection to install the WebAccess application only, NOT the WebAccess application with Apache/Tomcat. The default paths for Apache/Tomcat configuration files should work if they haven't been modified from the NLS defaults. Then, configure the application and restart Apache/Tomcat, load the WA Agent and you should be good to go. You should not need to manually modify config files, unless you really want to run separate instances of Apache/Tomcat, and I'm not sure that's really supported.
Also, please note that the URL to access WebAccess has changed for the Linux release -- it is now http://<ip.or.dns.name>/gw/webacc. Hitting /gw should give you the language selection screen-the old index.html file, from which you can get into WA or WebPublisher and select the language.
