Q:
I was trying to install XD2 on my SUSE Linux 9 server and got this error: "The installer was not able to find any Ximian products for your operating system." What happened?



A:
This happens when the server that is providing the installation files is broken (usually a temporary problem). The user will identify the server to use during the installation.

To work around the problem just select a different server. Even if you have paid for access to the RCX server, if that is the one with the problem just select a server from a mirror site. The RCX account can be activated after the installation through Red Carpet (System-->Software Update).
