Problems running SUSE 9.1 with GroupWise Java client

Q:
I'm on the new 2.6 kernel running SUSE 9.1 / KDE running the GroupWise Java client 6.5.2 6/21/2004 version.

I am having some "issues" with the client in general and specifically with appointments. I will often get an exception error during the send, and a number of other problems. Any suggestions?

A:
You might want to try to run the jvm in server, not client mode (the default).

Edit /opt/novell/groupwise/client/jre/lib/i386/jvm.cfg and set the option "-server KNOWN" before "-client KNOWN" and restart the GroupWise client.

It should reduce the issues with the GroupWise client.

Here is a sample jvm.cfg:

-server KNOWN
-client KNOWN
-hotspot ALIASED_TO -client
-classic WARN
-native ERROR
-green ERROR
