ConsoleOne error on SLES9

Q:
I have ConsoleOne installed on SLES9. I thought I had it working, but now when I run it I get:

JVMDG217: Dump Handler is Processing a Signal - Please Wait.

And it never comes up. What exactly does that mean and how can I troubleshoot it?



A:
If it can't get to your x-server, ConsoleOne will usually dump the Java stack trace. But here you have the JVM crashing, and we've seen that in the past if someone is using the JVM that comes with ConsoleOne. Try changing /usr/ConsoleOne/bin/ConsoleOne script to point at the SLES9 JVM instead.
