Q:
Since red-carpet upgraded itself, it no longer works. From the GUI, it tries to start the daemon, then times out. From the command line:
d8qbcf21:/ # rug in red-carpet

ERROR: Unable to connect to the daemon: (111, 'Connection refused')
ERROR: Please ensure that the service is running.

How do I backtrack to the previous version, or fix this one?

A:
/etc/init.d/rcd start

Make sure that the Red Carpet daemon is up and running - if it isn't, rug will not function.
