Changing from Upper Case to lower case directory names

I am trying to change a directory structure which is in Upper Case to lower case names. I wrote a script and it's converting files but I also want to convert directories also. Any suggestions?

lowercase_filenames is a script from the package shtools. It's included in SL9.1. You can grab it from ftp.suse.com. It should work on SLES9 also because it's noarch.
