How to get information about my computer
Novell Cool Solutions: Question & Answer
I need to get some information about my computer and my kernel
If you have the KDE libraries installed, and are using either Gnome or KDE, press ALT-F2. Then when the dialog box pops up, enter kinfocenter and press enter. That will give you a veritable plethora of information about your computer. Oh, and if you want to know what version of the Linux kernel you're using, simply open a terminal (ALT-F2 -> xterm) and type in uname -a and that should do the trick.
