ME writes: Can I add a third NIC to an iChain Proxy 2.0, or do I have to "ReCook" the BOX.?

A:
You don't need to recook, as long as you re-enable NCF over IP in the tune.ncf file, and you successfully enter debug mode you can copy the driver in via a client and configure it in Inetcfg. Leave the binding off in inetcfg, then use the iChain console dialog to add an address to the ETH2 (Third NIC). This should be easier than a rebuild.

(updated - 12/2/02) - A better solution is to enter debug mode and run HDETECT at the NetWare Server Console. See TID 10075844
