Make sure that you first unlock the proxy console and then enter the proxy in debug mode. From there, you can toggle to the NetWare system console. This is where you issue the set NCP include/exclude and over UDP commands. Unlock password is the proxy config password, debug password is proxydebug, and user is ichainadmin, password novell, context ics, and tree ics_tree. See TID 10065889 for specific details.
The ic22fp1.exe iChain patch renamed the ncpip.nlm to ncpip.old so a listener would not be posted on TCP 524. Even with the SET commands, NCPIP always posted a listener and was open to attacks. Since iChain does not require NCPIP access, the engineers opted to rename it and documented this in the readme of the patch. If you need to have NCPIP connectivity, rename the ncpip.old to ncpip.nlm and load it on the server console.
