I've been using ZENworks to push out my printers. However, we just upgraded to Support Pack 1, and iPrint started misbehaving. The printers all lost their short names we'd set up, and we can't do a silent install via ZENworks anymore. Thoughts?
A:
The service pack overwrites the iPrint.ini file with the defaults. This changes the configuration of the printers back to the default (so the printer short name reverts to the long name). Your ZENworks problem is probably due to the fact that iPrint version 2.02 uses a new registry setting that older versions ignored. Check out this TID for full details.
