I'm using ZfD 6.5, and find that ZENworks imaging with Dell Optiplex SX280 fails. Is there a fix?
A:
A newer revision of the Broadcom 5700 network card in this system is not compatible with the driver included in the shipping version of ZENworks for Desktops 6.5.
A hard drive behavior setting in the system BIOS must be changed for Linux to boot.
Contact Novell technical support for an updated driver that is compatible with the network card.
Or you could try this:
In the computer BIOS, go to Drives>Drive Controller and change the setting to Normal.
This configures the serial ATA controller's operating mode. Normal enables the serial ATA controller to operate in serial ATA native mode only. Compatible enables the serial ATA controller to operate in serial/parallel ATA combination mode.
