Q:
When I have workstation objects imported into NDS the object name appears like
"PC-name_context.domain"

Now if a tech was the first user to login to that domain, when it imports it willshow our context. Can I just rename the object and have things stillcommunicate properly?

Like this: pc-name_context1.domain to pc-name_context2.domain?

A:
Sure, you can just rename the workstation object. It normally requires a restart of that workstation to re-register under the new name, or more than one if you also have aZENworks Linux partition ( as it also stores WS-related info there which will not get updated until Identification reg entry in Windows itself ).

After renaming and rebooting, check the NDS object just to make sure it got re-registered okay (check last reg time in WS properties) and didn't create a new object with the old name instead.
