Removing apps from a Palm using ZENworks for Handhelds

Novell Cool Solutions: Question & Answer

Q:
I'm testing ZFH 5.1 on a Palm Tunstgen.

I have gone in to the Palm policy / Programs / Add / Application / Service to remove most of the applications that the Palm comes with. I only want to have Nexic / Groupwise, Adobe Reader and Documents to be available.

I have indicated in the configuration the above scenerio - removing the Contacts, Tasks, Calendar and Address programs from the palm. But when I perform the sync these programs are never removed. Why? When I go through the sync process it indicates that ZFH is syncing, and the security policy seems to be transferred, but not the program restrictions.

Is there something I'm missing?

A:
Programs residing in ROM, or an external storage device, cannot be removed. This would include your Contacts, Calendar, etc.
