Where can I set the starting point for the LDAP driver to read the changelog? When we moved our LDAP driver to a new server, it started back at entry 0 again and there are well over 600,000 changelog entries to get through. Can I set it to some number so that when the driver starts it will start at entry 550,000, for example?
A:
You would need to edit the DirXML-DriverStorage attribute on the driver object and change the value between the changelog-number tags. This is easiest to do using the Other tab in ConsoleOne.
Something you might also want to look at is setting a maximum age to your changelog entries (assuming Netscape/iPlanet/SunOne/Sun Java System) or purging the old entries from time to time.
