Installation problem, IDM 2.01 and iManager

Q:
I thought I could save time and money by getting IDM 2.01 on a single W2K3 server. eDirectory installed fine, as did IDM 2.01. Then i went to install AD, and now I can't get to iManager - it gives a simple bind error. Has anyone else run into this before?

A:
iManager is using LDAP or LDAPS. You installed eDirectory first and probably took thedefault ports for LDAP/LDAPS (389/636). That was working. Then you set up MAD,which put its LDAP services on 389/636, and broke your (working) setup.

You need to move eDirectory's configuration to use other ports for LDAP. I disable 389 and use 1636 for LDAPS here, and it works fine. Once you change that, you can experiment with the iManager configuration to get it to work again.
