When logging into a client32 workstation, opening a browser, and picking a link that is protected by iChain, iChain then asks you to log in. We want client32 to pass the userid and password to the iChain login and continue. We also want the same function from client32 to any Web app, as in SAP portal. Also, if the userid and password are not the same as the NDS userid and password we want to be prompted to enter the info one time and have NDS remember it. Is this function in NDS?

"We want to be prompted to enter the info one time and have NDS remember it", is one way to define SecureLogin. The advantage that eDirectory (NDS) provides here is that it allows management of the identity of the user. Without some other application there is no way for eDirectory to provide the user/password to another system the way that you describe. SecureLogin is that other application that leverages the identity to also provide multiple username/password combinations for the other apps/sites/etc. and still keep the information secure.
