Q:
Whenever we want to give a new eDirectory user a predefined set of applications so that he can be functional as soon as he installs NSL on his workstation, we encounter a problem: no data can be set unless the user first sets his/her passphrase.

A:
In Novell SecureLogin 3.51.SP1 you can now import active passphrase for a new user using the 'Import option' under the ConsoleOne Copy Settings tab.Add the section to the top of the import file. For example:

<passphrase>
<activequestion>Which Company?</activequestion>
<answer>novell</answer>
</passphrase>

Then do the following:

1. Select the Active Passphrase checkbox along with the rest of sections you need to import.
2.Perform an Import.

Note: You can also do the same using 'slaptool', a new utility used for importing/exporting data included in the Tools folder of NSL 3.51, SP1.
