Two NAL icons in the System Tray

Novell Cool Solutions: Question & Answer

Q:
I'm having a strange problem and I hope you can help. We're using ZfD 4, and for some reason NAL is starting up twice -- two icons appear in the System Tray. Is this normal?

A:
This happens to people who have Auto-start NAL set to YES in launcher configuration. If you choose Automatic start during the installation of the Management Agent, you'll get a shortcut in the Windows startup group with the title "Application Launcher" or "Application Window". Choosing auto-start NAL creates an icon with the title "naldesk" or "nalwin32" when the launcher/window is started. This process leaves the other icon behind, with the result that two instances are run.

Bottom line, don't use both methods of populating the startup group.
