AppLauncher disconnects when NAL refreshes

Q:
After NAL refreshes, we find that Application Launcher and Application Explorer do not go back online, but just jump into disconnected mode. Is there any way around that?

A:

  1. Exit Application Launcher and relaunch Application Launcher.
  2. Exit Application Explorer and relaunch Application Explorer.
  3. Right-click Application Explorer and Work online.
    Or
  4. In Application Launcher, go to File > Work online.

  • So.. how do I tell 1500 users that they have to push "work online" because of a crappy programming fault? It feels easier to UPGRADE to SMS..
  • Ever since upgrading to agent 4.0.1.50 my users’ Launcher window goes offline when it wants to. Your answer is obvious. The real question is why does it do it and can it be permanently fixed.
  • I am having this same issue. I installed a computer the way we wanted it, I used ZFD 6.5 Suite to install all of the apps, and then I took a ZEN Image and distributed it. Once I log into a machine with a user, they have to refresh the NAL, and then they have to go tell it to Work Online.

  • I have this problem also, and similar "answers" is simply useless.
  • Waste of time reading. This isn't an answer that provides a fix, just a band-booboo-aide (trademark observed). Fine if you are just talking about a user or two, but if you had 25k+ users don't think it would fly!
  • This started happening after we upgraded Agent version 4.0.1.50 The suggestion above is not a permanent fix
