auto completion: getting the right email address

The Name Auto Completion feature in GroupWise can be a great help or a hindrance to your work depending on the manner in which it is set up. When you begin typing a name in the To, CC, or BC boxes of an item you are creating, Name Completion tries to complete the name for you. Often we find users become frustrated as this function starts filling in unwanted names or an undesired alternate email address. To instill some order to this process, you can specify which address books will be included in the search and the order in which GroupWise will search them, giving priority to the address books of your choice. This is done using the Name Completion Search Order dialog box.

  1. In the Address Book, select File | Name Completion Search Order.

  2. Select all address books you want GroupWise to search from the Available books: list and click Add to move them to the Selected books: list.

  3. Select the address book you want GroupWise to search first, then use the Down and Up buttons to change that book's position to first in the list. Continue this process until the books are in the order you prefer.

NOTE: While you have control over your personal address books, Name Completion will always search the system address book last.
