organize your mailbox using links
Organizing our mailboxes is something that we often fail to do. One common reason is the frustration of not knowing how to categorize items. It might be appropriate to place an item in a folder you have for a current project, yet you always put emails from your boss in folder structure designated for him. Where should you place the item? Linking an item to multiple folders eliminates the dilemma.
If you have a GroupWise item that you want to be able to access from more folders than just one, you can link it to multiple folders. With this function you can integrate your items to where they might be applicable to more than one folder.
Create the link
- Open the folder containing the item.
- Hold the Ctrl key down and drag the item to a folder to link it to that folder, or right-click and drag the item to the new folder.
Remove the link
- Open the folder containing the link you want to remove.
- Hold down the Alt key while you drag the item to a different folder. Or, select the item and delete it. The link is deleted from that folder so the item no longer appears. The item remains in any other folders.
