problem:

GroupWise will not do a busy search after installing Microsoft Windows XP SP2. The SP2 firewall automatically blocks UDP causing the GroupWise Busy Search to fail.

solution:

Add all of the GroupWise programs to the Firewall Program Exceptions.

Steps to add program exceptions:

  1. Open the Control Panel and double click the Windows Firewall Icon. The Security Center will also get you to the Firewall Settings.


  2. Click the Program Exceptions Tab and click the Add Program button


  3. Add all of the GroupWise Programs one at a time.


  4. Click OK when after all the exceptions have been added.
